How to Install Locales

You need to generate the specific locale(s) if they already haven't been done so.

To verify a locale(s) is installed, run

$ locale -a

To see what is listed. There should be German, Spanish, French, and Russian locales, depending on which translation you want to play 7kaa with. For example,

#de_DE.UTF-8 UTF-8
#de_DE ISO-8859-1
...
#es_ES.UTF-8 UTF-8
#es_ES ISO-8859-1
...
#fr_FR.UTF-8 UTF-8
#fr_FR ISO-8859-1
...
#ru_RU ISO-8859-5
#ru_RU.UTF-8 UTF-8

If the desired locale has not been generated for your system, you will need to edit /etc/locale.gen.

# nano /etc/locale.gen

And remove the pound sign (#) for the desired locale(s) and save the file.

Then, generate the locales.

# locale-gen

To verify the locale(s) is installed, run

$ locale -a

To see if it is listed.
