Ports

Version 2.14.4+ uses UDP port 19255. Version 2.14.6+ uses UDP port 19383 for LAN and 7kfans.com game browsing.

If the application cannot open the default port, it can fall back to a random port assigned by the OS. This should be fine in most cases if this happens on the game host, except if people are connecting via entering the IP address directly (no port entry), or the port in question is the LAN broadcast port (won't be able to see the games)

(Fill in any info for older versions)

NAT

Version 2.14.7 uses NAT punch-through with 7kfans.com, which should make firewall traversal zero config.

All players ought to be on the same LAN or all over WAN ('over the internet'); in the past, mixing LAN and WAN really didn't work. With NAT punch-through now supported, this might work with a well-built router or network, but there are likely incompatible configurations. This isn't recommended or supported, since we can't accommodate every configuration.

VPN

Version 2.14.3 works with Hamachi
